New Philly Festival, Disco Duel, to Feature Buku, G-REX, Vampa and More in December 2024

Written by on November 13, 2024

East Coast ravers just got another major option to consider for their final festival of the year, thanks to Corporate Wooks. The collective’s new two-day festival, “Disco Duel: Cap’n Wook vs. Cap’n Crook,” is set to take over Philadelphia from December 27-28.

Boasting nine hours of music from 9pm to 6am in a new location near Point Breeze, Disco Duel creates an unofficial afterparty opportunity for attendees of Philly’s HiJinx Festival. Over 40 artists will perform, including Buku, G-REX, JEANIE, Smith., Vampa and Seth David, among others.

The Disco Duel lineup spans house, drum & bass, dubstep and even live jazz fusion, delivering an eclectic experience. These high-energy performances are combined with interactive experiences from Frick Frack Blackjack and Hiscore Happy Hour, cozy lounges, captivating flow performers and a variety of vendors.

Two Levels, Three Stages, One Unforgettable Experience

Disco Duel will feature two main stages across two floors, each with immersive visuals, lasers and lighting. The first level sets the tone with projection-mapping, stunning visuals and lounge zones to keep you locked into the energy. Upstairs kicks the sound up a notch, with Funktion-One Line Array speakers to blow you away—that’s if the upstairs visuals, lasers and production haven’t already.

Special to Corporate Wooks’ events are intimate spaces to decompress throughout the venue. A renegade room for live acts, HiScore’s variety of retro gaming options and Frick Frack Blackjack’s beloved circus and no-cash bartering casino experience underscore that commitment.

Getting There

With many of you already in Philly for HiJinx Festival, Corporate Wooks have set up a round trip shuttle service for your convenience, transporting attendees from Hijinx to the Disco Duel venue, with return trips back to the convention center at the end of each night. While the exact location is yet to be released, it will be in Point Breeze, just a short 10-minute drive from the Pennsylvania Convention Center to a decked-out warehouse in Southwest Philly.

Tickets for Disco Duel start at $80 for a two-day pass, and single-day passes start at $50. Shuttle passes are $10 per night and get you a round trip from the Pennsylvania Convention Center to the venue in Point Breeze. Those interested also have the option of paying through a layaway plan.
